Pennsylvania tint law 2026: For most passenger vehicles, all windows must let in more than 70% of light. SUVs and Vans have less strict regulations, with the permission of darker tints on rear windows.

We would suggest warm water and two microfiber towels. One for cleaning, the other to dry — for a streak-free shine. You should not use window cleaners that contain ammonia, as they can alter the color of the window film.

This is normal. Water activates the adhesive and helps position the film for installation. Some of that water remains between the glass and film even after removal. As a result of evaporation, you might see small bubbles or foggy patches. They will disappear on their own within a few days or up to two weeks in colder months. Do not poke or pop these bubbles. 

Window tint can be removed anytime, but it is a messy job. Professional detailers have the right tools and know-how, so it is best to reach out to them for help. Attempting it yourself could damage things like rear defrosters.
